We Are The
JH Smith Community Choir
Our Founding Director, John H. Smith, led what was formerly the St. Peters Choral Society for an astounding and successful 30 years. With over 100 active members, he built an impressive foundation on which the renamed JH Smith Community Choir continues to thrive. We are a chorus which serves adults and high-school-aged singers. Our performances feature a diverse repertoire, from the works of the great classical composers to the music of contemporary songwriters.
We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from September through December and then January through May in the Fort Zumwalt South High School commons. Membership is $50 per semester. Singers are expected to provide for their formal attire, a Choral Society polo shirt, and choir folder. Please indicate on the registration page if you would like to be considered for a financial hardship scholarship.
We Are The
Youth Choir
The Youth Choir is a non-auditioned ensemble serving children in grades 4 through 7. We seek to create a safe and joyful community for students to experience the power of singing. We rehearse on Monday evenings from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. from September through May in the Fort Zumwalt South High School choir room.
Membership for the 2023-2024 season, two sessions, is $200 for on child, $325 for two and $400 for three. Singers are expected to provide for their concert attire. Please indicate on the registration page if you would like to be considered for a financial hardship scholarship. Four-month payment plans are also available.
